The Colonial Secretary, Hong Kong,

presents his compliments to the Under Secretary

of State for the Colonies, London, and, with

reference to the latter's note No. 53510/39 of

10th January, 1940, is directed to forward herewith

copy in duplicate of note No. 19 of 22nd September,

1939, from the British Diplomatic Mission, Chungking,

to the Governor, Hong Kong, regarding working

agreements for through traffic between the British

section of the Kowloon-Canton Railway and (a)

the Chinese section of the Kowloon-Canton Railway

and (b) the Canton-Hankow Railway.
